Moreton Show was first held in 1949, on the same site it has occupied ever since - part of the Batsford Estate - although it has been much extended over the years. Its underlying purpose is to improve the standard of farming and farm crafts locally. This zeal for improvement was at the core of the three societies which merged to form the present Moreton-in-Marsh Show Society - the Cotswold Agricultural Society, The Moreton Shire Horse Society and the Moreton-in-Marsh and District Agricultural Society. The date of the first ever show was fixed for Saturday September 3rd and the show has been held in early September ever since. The Show has now grown so large that it attracts visitors from all over the country.

Blenheim Palace International Horse Trials will take place a week later than usual in 2017 (13th - 17th September), and will be held over five days instead of four.
Event Director Mandy Hervieu explains: “The date change is due to the fact that for many years three of the bigger international horse trials (Blair Castle, Burghley and Blenheim Palace) have been on consecutive weekends, which puts pressure on many of the events’ stakeholders, in addition to there being a very busy event programme at Blenheim Palace itself in the weeks before.
Located in the grounds of Beaulieu, Holiday Park & Homes Show is a special exhibition of next season's ranges of Caravan Holiday-Homes and Lodges from many of the major UK manufacturers.
The show will feature the latest caravan holiday-homes (static caravans) and lodges from nine British manufacturers, with many other exhibitors ranging from holiday parks in the UK and overseas, to decking manufacturers and insurance firms.

The Tetbury Music Festival was started some twelve years ago by Elise Smith and Graham Kean with concerts in the Parish Church of St Marys'. Since then the Festival has grown in stature and runs over four days at the beginning of October each year.
The Patron of the Festival is HRH The Prince of Wales, and the Artistic Director is Jonathan Cohen, who took over from Steven Isserlis CBE in 2013.
Each year the aim is to bring leading instrumentalists and singers to Tetbury, and previous performers read like a Who's Who of the classical music world.
