This 2-day itinerary will give you some great ideas on how to spend your time whilst holidaying at Devon Bay.
Wake up feeling fresh after a great night’s sleep in your caravan or lodge and start you day with a hearty breakfast from the comfort of your holiday home.
Gather the kids ready to explore Devon Bay holiday park and see what exciting facilities the park has to offer.
Grab the opportunity for a relaxing early morning swim in our indoor leisure pool or our heated outdoor pool (mid-May to mid-September) or, if the kids are feeling more adventurous, brave the flume in our fun-filled indoor pool.
Take the time to explore the park so you don’t miss any of the exciting events or facilities we have to offer. See our activities page for more information on the entertainment and activities available at Hoburne Devon Bay.
If you haven’t done enough exploring already, take a trip to the Dartmoor National Park, just a 30 minute drive away from Devon Bay for a chance to venture through the moorland, hidden villages and wooded river valleys of the beautiful conservation area.
We suggest you start by heading to the Visitor Centre at Haytor so you can plan where you’d like go and what you’d like to explore.
Finish your action-packed day with a relaxing evening meal at our Brasserie 1912 restaurant, conveniently located onsite at Devon bay. Enjoy the evening with the whole family and enjoy a meal that is stress-free with no need to do the washing up. Choose a scrumptious meal from our diverse menu, offering everything from gourmet burgers to Sunday roasts.
Kick start your morning with a delicious cooked breakfast freshly prepared at our onsite café. Café h offers a wide variety of scrummy breakfast favourites, so the whole family can fill their bellies before another day of exploring what south Devon has to offer.
Spend your morning discovering Babbacombe, known as the ‘Jewel in the crown of the English Riviera’, just a 20 minute drive from Devon Bay. The beach resort of Babbacombe offers a great range of things to see in a quiet, laid back setting. Despite being right next to vibrant Torquay, you’ll find that Babbacombe is delightfully secluded, with picturesque views and warm weather all year round. Find a nice quiet café or restaurant to enjoy a light lunch before heading off for your afternoon adventures.
For an afternoon activity that the kids will certainly enjoy, take a trip to Pennywell farm, home to hundreds of friendly animals, play areas, rides and activities. Get hands on with the kids and try milking the old fashioned way and meet the nanny goats or hand feed the baby lambs. There are 2 big shows daily at weekends and during Devon school holidays, plus loads more events throughout the year.
(Activities at Pennywell farm are season and weather permitting so visit their website to see what’s on during your visit).
Once you arrive back to Devon Bay after your busy day, enjoy a lovely home cooked meal in the warmth of your caravan or lodge.
Take an evening stroll on the nearby beach with the whole family to enjoy some quality time together. The hour before the sun finally drops is a magical time, especially in South Devon so stop and admire the sky fill with colours of red, gold and orange. There’s no better place to watch the sun set than from the beach, so bury down in the sand, watch the sea crash at the shore and watch the night time fall.
