Golfers can tackle Ryder Cup courses as well as Open venues without leaving Dorset thanks to a new, state-of-the-art simulator at Bulbury Woods Golf Club in Lytchett Minster.
A special open day is being held on Sunday (September 6th) to launch the simulator. There will be competitions and a barbecue for just £4.50 from 11.30am to 4.30pm.
The golf simulator is programmed with 15 of the UK’s top courses, including Carnoustie, St Andrews, Royal Troon, The Belfry and Celtic Manor. It can be used to play various competitions, including longest drive and nearest the pin and will be an invaluable coaching tool.
James Slade, Head of Golf for Hoburne Golf, which includes Bulbury Woods, Crane Valley in Verwood and Hurtmore in Surrey, said: “This is as close as you can get without actually being on the course and there are no weather issues! Its launch monitor is a brilliant educational tool helping our team of professionals for tuition as well as custom club fitting. It will also offer a unique twist to our society and corporate day offerings.”
It costs from £18 an hour for members and £20 an hour for non-members, and society and corporate hire costs £40. For more information or to book call David Bartlett on 01929 459574.
